Welcome to Northern Art House. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. About Northern Art House

Northern Art House is the studio and gallery of artist Victoria Hodgson. We create and sell original artwork, limited edition prints, and selected products through this website.

2. Artwork & Product Descriptions

Every effort is made to accurately represent colours, textures, dimensions and details of artwork and prints.

Please note that colours may vary slightly depending on your screen or device settings.

As original artworks are handmade, minor variations and imperfections form part of their character and should not be considered faults.

3. Pricing

All prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (£).

Prices may be changed at any time without notice. The price displayed at checkout is the price you will pay.

4. Payment

Payment must be received in full before any artwork or products are dispatched.

We accept payment through the secure payment methods available on this website.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are usually dispatched within 3–7 working days unless otherwise stated.

Original artwork may require additional preparation time and this will be communicated where applicable.

Northern Art House cannot be held responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs processes, adverse weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Returns & Refunds

Under UK consumer regulations, you may return eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order.

To arrange a return, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

Returned items must be unused and in their original condition.

Customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or damaged upon arrival.

Refunds will be processed once the returned item has been received and inspected.

7. Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of both the packaging and the item.

We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

8. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All artwork, images, text and content on this website remain the copyright of Victoria Hodgson and Northern Art House unless otherwise stated.

The purchase of an original artwork or print does not transfer copyright ownership.

Artwork may not be reproduced, copied, scanned, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

9. Artist Rights

Northern Art House retains the right to use images of sold artwork for portfolio, exhibition, website, social media, promotional and archival purposes. This reflects common practice among artists and galleries. 

10. Commissions

Commissioned artworks are created in consultation with the client.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• A non-refundable deposit may be required before work begins.

• Commission payments are non-refundable once work has commenced.

• Copyright remains with the artist.

• Commissioned work may be displayed in portfolios and promotional material.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northern Art House shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or the purchase of artwork.

12. Privacy

Any personal information collected through this website will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will never be sold to third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
